This policy explains how Nation Watch SA ("we", "us") handles personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Responsible party and Information Officer
The responsible party is Nation Watch SA.
What we collect, and why
- Server logs: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Visitor statistics: if we measure visits, we use cookie-free statistics that report totals rather than identifying individuals.
- Emails you send us: your name, email address and what you choose to send, such as a news tip, photo or correction request. We use these to reply and, with your permission, to report.
We have no registration, newsletter or comments at present. We do not sell personal information.

Advertising
We may show advertising in future, including through Google AdSense. Sharing and cross-border transfers
We share personal information only with the service providers that run the site and our email (currently Cloudflare and Google), which may process it outside South Africa under protections comparable to POPIA.

We limit access to personal information and keep it only as long as needed for the purpose it was given, or as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Children
This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
